Pretzels are an amazing appetizer can be served with different dips and you can have a salty and stringy taste of it for many hours. They are reminding you soft-centered bread and look super cute with that twisted knot shape. As they are salty you can have them with fresh tea or coffee as morning breakfast or evening snacks. The trick is making them melting in the mouth texture and the right balance of softness and crust which make them delicious. Though it is easy to make but you have to try your hand many times to get than soft- centered Pretzels. Let us start making those lovely Pretzels.

- 600 to 750 grams all-purpose flour
- 3 tsp. active dry yeast
- 1 tbsp. sugar
- 60 to 70 grams unsalted butter (melted)
- 2 tsp. kosher salt (grained)
- 1 1/2 cups boiled water
- 1 tsp. vegetable oil
- 10 to 12 cups water
- 200 grams baking soda
- 1 egg yolk, beaten with water
- Pretzel salt per taste
Take a large bowl and add warm water, the sugar along with kosher salt in the bowl and dusting the yeast on it. Now this mixture will take 5 to 10 minutes to set properly get that foam.
Take a large bowl add the butter and flour now start mixing it on a slow flame, until it looks merged Now start kneading dough and make it smooth and without any fraying.
Now dough has to be removed from bowl and oil that bowl put the dough into and cover it with plastic wrapper, now keep it for setting around 1 hour in warm place.
Meanwhile, you can keep over ready with 450 degrees F. Keep ready 2 pans with parchment paper apply little oil with a brush.
Take a thick pan and add water and baking soda and bring it to boil
Here your dough is ready and start applying oil on the surface and make 8 pieces now time to rock and roll so make sure you are rolling each piece 24 inches rope kind. Make a U shape and hold two edges and cross it in an order that twisted knot look. Now one by one make such shape
Ready unbaked Pretzels put inside boiling water and take out them with a spatula.
Now time to garnish, each pretzel has to be covered with egg yolk mixture and sprinkle some sugar on it to get crusty look
Bake it for 15 to 20 minutes until it turns semi dark brown and now they are ready to serve.
